Wraps
You have reached the ancient and wise, oracle
of the wraps! Here you will find information on foosball.com's
lavish wraps collection. We carry alpha wraps and we make our own
Latex Tube Wraps.
Latex
Tube Wraps:
Similar to a "mountain bike" inner tube. Latex tube wraps
are the easiest wrap to carry and use. We have them made for us by
an Italian company. You will not be able to get the quality of latex
tubes we get and the price will make it so there is no reason to go
anywhere else. Say goodbye to scissors, foosball.com has saved the
day!
We
have green and orange
-The ORANGE ones are a little more durable.
Most snake shooters prefer the orange model. This is the standard
version.
-The GREEN ones (no picture yet) are a little thinner so you need to be
careful when putting them on and taking them off. People who like
the feel of the handle but want a bit more tack LOVE these. I think
these are great!

Alpha
"traditional" wraps
Alpha Sports has actually retooled some of
their wrap machines to make wraps specifically for foosball. In the
near future our whole line of wraps will be custom designed. You
will have the highest quality foosball wrap available. And wait,
don't answer now. Our wraps will also be the best price wrap out
there! Because we buy about a billion of these things and we go
straight to the manufacture, we get them at a great price. The days
of cutting up bicycle inner tubes and buying tennis wraps are over.
Foosball.com has brought foosball it's own product line and inside the
year they will dominate the market because of their quality and value.
THICK
and Tacky XLI:
This is your standard wrap. The normal
thickness and nice and tacky. Most people use these and virtually
all "snake" shooters prefer this model. Careful with them
on their first use, after that, no problem.
Re-sale price: $1 each
Thin and Tacky XLII:
Similar to the XLII above in tackiness, but much THINNER. These wraps give you an
excellent feel of the rod while still giving you the responsiveness of the
tacky wrap. These wraps are not very durable though, if you are not
careful when you put them on and take them off, you will ruin them.
If you have to win a game/match, these are the wraps to use!
WARNING: Once you start using these wraps, you will never go back
and they cost a bit to use new ones every match.
RECOMMENDATION: I advice you to use the
GREEN Latex Tube
on a daily basis
and then when you play for big money, use these instead. This will
save you money and give you a similar feel of the rod for the most part.
Note the little spacer in the middle. That's
because these are much thinner.
Re-sale price: $1 each
AquaZorb:
We got your absorbers. These are the standard
thickness wraps with a "leathery" feel to them. Pull shot
shooters tend to like these.
If your hand sweats you will love these wraps.
These are the most durable of our wraps, they will last for
weeks.
RECOMMENDATION: Use more then one pair on your rods and rotate them out between
matches. This will help the wraps maintain their shape and
quality. You have your choice of color, blue or blue. :-)
Re-sale price: $1 each
Recommendation
for Beginners:
Beginners have a hard time deciding what
wraps to use. My advise is:
Forwards:
Snake shooters: either two orange
latex -or- an orange
latex and an XLII on the 3-bar.
Pull shooters: either two green
latex -or- try the AquaZorb or the XLII on the 3-bar.
Various shots: either two orange
latex -or- two XLII, consider the XLI for big matches.
Goalies:
Pull shooters: On the 2-bar, try one green
latex -or- one XLII
also you may want something on the goal rod, play around with the
different types.
Tick-Tack Attack: I would use two orange
or two green
latex -or- two XLII's.
As you get better you will learn what you like. Don't hesitate to experiment with different wrap combinations. Even after you feel like you have it down, changing grips can help you out of a slump! Also, that makes you buy more wraps from us and we like that!
